Undone over Time is an album of fast tracks using drum synths from UhhyouWebSynthesizers. Most of the drum sounds are synthesized.
The tracks are arranged from darker to brighter. Initially, this album was intended to focus on drums, but I got impatient to the stoic texture and made too much edits to add glittering melodies and chords. The first track Undone over Time is the closest to the initially intended texture. That texture is almost non-existent on Sane Hatter.
In many tracks, GenericDrum in UhhyouWebSynthesizers is used for the bass drum. The raw output of GenericDrum lacks the punch. Some bass/treble boosting and limiting are required to make it sounds better. Many tracks also use GenericDrum for the snare drum, but the attack tends to be weak, so another snare synthesizer samples are layered to compensate.
Helpless and Divisive feature DoubleLoopCymbal from Uhhyou Plugins. The cup hits are fine, but the rim hits don't sound like real cymbals. In Embodiment, the cup hits of DoubleLoopCymbal are layered over the sound effects to cover up the artificial textures.
Solution in X, Dissent, Crash are older tracks where UhhyouWebSynthesizers isn't used. Crash is the loudest track in this album. The latter half may sound like a noise without rhythm. Mixed Feedback and Moderate Feedback are made from feedback mixer technique with some post-processing.
Submarine was the hardest track to put together. After too much editing, the rhythm became too shaky. Sound effects are added, and 16th backbeats are shuffled, to hide the shakiness. At first, tempo was 210 BPM, then it was slowed down to 190, and finally to 168. It was hard to recognize the accents at higher tempo due to the shaky rhythm.

Undone over Time は UhhyouWebSynthesizers のドラムシンセサイザーを使った速い曲を集めたアルバムです。ほとんどのドラムの音は合成されたものです。
渋めの曲から派手な曲へと進むように並べてあります。もともとはドラムに焦点を当てた曲を作ろうとしていたのですが、ドラムだけにしたときのスカスカさに耐えられずに作りこみすぎてしまいました。アルバムのタイトルともなっている Undone over Time は意図していた音に最も近く、 Sane Hatter は当初のコンセプトが消え去った音になっています。
多くの曲で UhhyouWebSynthesizers の GenericDrum をバスドラムに使っています。 GenericDrum はそのままだと迫力に欠けるのですが、イコライザーで極端に持ち上げて、リミッターでピークを潰してやると雰囲気が出ます。スネアドラムも GenericDrum を使った曲が多いですがアタックが弱くなりがちなので、他のスネアシンセサイザーの音とレイヤーしてごまかしています。
Helpless と Divisive では DoubleLoopCymbal を前面に押し出しています。カラン、チャリンという音は悪くないのですが、シャーンという音は本物のシンバルとはかけ離れた音をしています。 Embodiment では効果音に DoubleLoopCymbal を重ねて使っていますが、こうした使い方のほうが粗が出なくていいかもしれません。
Solution in X, Dissent, Crash は古い曲で UhhyouWebSynthesizers を使っていません。 Crash はアルバム中で最も音が大きく、人によっては後半のリズムがただのノイズのように聞こえるかもしれません。また、 Mixed Feedback と Moderate Feedback は適当に演奏したフィードバックミキサーのノイズを加工したものです。
Submarine は最も制作に難儀した曲となっています。リズムに手を入れすぎてよれよれになってしまったのですが、効果音を次から次へと足して、 16 分の裏拍を遅らせてシャッフルすることでごまかしています。元は 210 BPM だったのですが、途中で 190 に落として、最後には 168 まで遅くしました。速いテンポでリズムがよれているとアクセントが感じられなくなってしまったことが理由です。
